The Proposal Faces

So you have known each other for a long time now. You have fought with your partner, had the most amazing travel stories to share, all the late night parties, all the jealousy, all the fights, all the drama, all the patch-ups, all the apologies. In short you guys have seen it all. And that’s what makes a relationship stronger. You haven’t left each other’s side even during the downs, have seen the ugly side as well and still made sure you become a constant, a pillar, an anchor to building a stronger bond. You know friends, that’s what a true love is which is difficult to find these days. And if you have one, don’t let that person walk away.

After having known each other for a while now, you guys feel that it is about time to take it a step ahead. Yes, we are talking about the Proposal!! You can deny, but we are sure the girls have been dying for the day to an extent that they have even rehearsed the expression. However, the Proposal is special in many ways and it can be surprising and one can’t just practice the perfect reaction to the proposal. And even if you do, you just cannot guarantee to keep it together when the time comes. Just imagine if your long time beau plans a romantic proposal in the middle of a busy restaurant. All eyes are on you, and how are you supposed to react!!? It comes naturally, right!! You just cannot run through or mentally prepare for the reaction.

Destination Wedding Planner in India get to meet all sorts of couples and know their stories and thus in honor of the “proposal season”, they have found out or rather being told by the bride and the groom, few ways they reacted during their respective proposals. So here are some of the reactions when all eyes are on the lady.

1.    When you are just not ready. Yes, you have been secretly thinking about getting married to your boyfriend; however you just did not expect him to plan it this early. And you are totally off the guard.

2.    Too shocked to even move. Well this time your bestie sweeps you off your feet and you are stunned to even make a movement. Just a little advice, say YES and never let him go.

3.    When your partner is still delivering the long speech he had prepared. He planned a casual dinner with family and friends just to surprise you with an unexpected proposal. You are dying to say “yes” but waiting for his romantic speech to get over.

4.    When you get to see the RING. Your boyfriend goes an extra mile to buy the most beautiful ring that you had only dreamt off. Your reaction when you finally see the ring and at the same time realize that your nails are just done right for the epic “#ringselfie”.

The reactions could be outrageous. Just be as natural you can and appreciate your partner for taking this step.

Types Of Mothers – in – law

You have decided to get married to the love of your life. Taking all the required efforts (infact more than that) to plan your special day. And you are all set to embrace the new family, which goes without any saying for both the partners. Well you love your mother to the moon and back. But how you build rapport with the mother – in – law is a dilemma. A new family is like a box full of chocolates of different flavors, you never know which one, especially mother – in – law, you are going to get.

Remember first time you met your fiancé!! You must have been nervous, excited, and shy and a potpourri of emotions you could experience. Similarly, meeting the mother – in – law is nothing less than a gamble – you can’t predict which one you are going to get. After all life is full of surprises!! Unlike acquaintances, you are going to be hitched with this new family for a lifetime. Destination Wedding Planner in India with their strong experience, have met many potential types of mother – in – law and we are going to share the categories with you today.

1.    The Silent Judge – this one had a bird’s eye. Be it your dress or your hairstyle or the way you sit or talk, she is right there noticing everything (from top to bottom) and judging you at the same time.

2.    The Sweetest Kind – this is the category one could hope for. If you have met her, be sure you are lucky. She is a sweetie pie and wouldn’t skip any effort to make you feel comfortable and shower her love.

3.    The Weeping Kind – she doesn’t have time for fun, infact doesn’t believe in joy. Every step towards the wedding will make her realize that her baby is leaving her forever.

4.    The Excited Kind – well she knows how important and special the event is for you. Just like you and your partner, she is also excited and looking forward to the new beginning. Little surprises here and there would keep the spirit going.

5.    The Attention Seeker – it is your BIG DAY and you are undoubtedly the center of attention and guests have their eyes on you. However, your mother – in – law just cannot take it. And has already decided to steal the limelight by wearing her outrageously pretty lehenga or saree.

6.    The Fashionista – this category of mothers – in – law like to dress up well. They like to be dressed well and look their best for any occasion. And she becomes your new stylist, and makes you wonder where she has been all the while. Taking her shopping at times will make you bond really well.

7.    Cool As Cucumber – she is the coolest one in family. Not conservative, no room for drama, not dominant. She would be like a best friend. And your wedding is the biggest party and you may find her somewhere at the cocktail counter.

We would like to know which one looked familiar to you!!??

Questions To Ask Your Wedding Planner

Yes, it is your big day and wedding planner certainly do make your life a lot easier. However, you wouldn’t want to ruin the special occasion by hiring someone who isn’t serious about this important and intimate affair. You wouldn’t want to feel the arrangements, money and time went in vain by choosing a wedding planner who does not resonate with the idea. Do not worry friends; we have a set of questions you must ask a wedding planner before appointing them. The pre-requisite is to meet them in person or at least talk them over phone to start with. The questions must be asked without any hesitation, coz of course you can’t afford to make mistakes.

1.    Availability – this must be your first question. What’s the point carrying forward the discussion when they aren’t available in your wedding date!!? See if your wedding dates are flexible and their availability could be worked out, if they are your personal favorite.

2.    Cost – this is an important question. You obviously must have done your homework and worked out a tentative budget. It is now your turn to ask the wedding planner about the approximate budget weddings they do. If they have a minimum benchmark, you will get an idea if they fall into your budget.

3.    Services – wedding planning is huge. You need to ask your wedding planner what services do they offer – hospitality, coordination, logistics, productions, and designing to name a few. Ask what their specialty is and then decide if this is what you are looking for. For example – Destination Wedding Planner in India mostly have strong contact with vendors and also hospitality, see if these are important to your wedding (especially if you are planning a destination wedding)

4.    Previous Work – ask them about the kind of work they have done in past. See if they have arranged a wedding previously at your venue. This will act as a bonus as they must be having good contacts with the venue staff, layout and logistics, which can undoubtedly help in smooth flow of functions.

5.    Team Size – asking them about the size of their team will give a rough idea about how many people would be dedicated to your wedding. Wedding Planner undoubtedly handle a few couples at the same time. Their commitment to your wedding will depend on the size of their team.

6.    Payments – wedding planner of course work with a fixed set of vendors mostly. And you need to discuss how they will be paid and what percentage of entire payment will be paid in advance. Are you going to pay the wedding planner and they will then pay to the vendors. Or you can pay to the vendors directly, which we feel is a better option.

7.    References – ask for the details of couples and vendors they have recently worked with so that you can ask them about things you still are unsure about. Ask for their testimonials and if the wedding planner is willing to share and encourages you to reach out to them, that’s a sign they have a lot of happy clients and colleagues.

Color Trends In Weddings

Gone are the times, when weddings were just related to hues of red. Now weddings have become more of status symbol and style statement. Wedding have become elaborate and lavish. Every minute aspect for example – the kind of linens to be used on tables and chairs is also taken into consideration. Now every bride and groom wants to personalize their special day as per their likes and give it a look that reflects a part of their persona. That’s the reason Destination Wedding Planner in India have created wedding color trends that are contemporary, elegant, royal and stylish. Let’s discuss the trends for each function.

1.    Mehendi – this is the most vibrant function of all in a wedding. This is the first function and does give a kick start to the lavish ceremonies. Mostly, this is a female oriented function and you know female gatherings are nothing less than a carnival. That’s exactly the current theme trend for Mehendi Ceremony. Colors that are bright and signify celebrations and fete with a bazaar set-up. Colors like yellow, orange, green and pink are integral part of Mehendi celebration. Drapes and canopy’s & linens of these bright colors make the ceremony more vivid. And to compliment the fabrics, flowers like Marigold (yellow and orange), and white Mogra’s are used. The photo booth, decorative elements, hangings, and buffet set-up are planned keeping in mind the color scheme. We are certain these lively colors are surely going to make Mehendi ceremony exciting and fun.

2.    Sangeet – this is the function when everybody from bride and groom’s family get together, bond well and thoroughly enjoy the celebrations. These days mostly Sangeet is clubbed with Cocktails and what better than giving it a western theme using English Colors. Combination of White and Purple color gives a tinge of sophistication to the ceremony. Decorating the venue with flowers like white Dahlia and purple Peony (one of our favorite combinations) will certainly add glamour to the ceremony. To compliment the color scheme, using crystal décor (chandelier and hangings), candles in glass containers (fish bowls, or mason jars) will look stylish. And there you go..!!! You are now all set to shake leg on Bollywood Numbers and dance till you literally drop.

3.    Wedding – here comes the most important ceremony for which you had started preparing and planning months in advance. And tying the sacred knot in a royal ambience is a dream and that’s the reason wedding planner suggest Regal theme for your BIG DAY. A Royal Rajwada theme is an imperial Rajasthani Theme that takes you to the bygone Rajputana era. Colors like red and maroon are majorly used with Indian flowers that compliment the overall theme. The bride arrives in a Palaki and Groom on Ghodi. The baraat is welcomed with band and lawazma. And the ceremony is incomplete without the fireworks.  The theme is loud and festive and the Rajasthani delicacies leave no stone unturned to make the wedding lavish and memorable for the guests.

What To Expect From Your Wedding Planner!!

Wedding is the most sacred knot one could ever tie. But this is also a fact that this knot requires a lot of commitment not only towards each other but with the overall planning of the BIG DAY. Yes, we are talking about planning and executing the 2-3 day grand Indian Wedding. And it is going to freak you out at times, going to be stressful; it would require you to be on your toes almost all the times. And it is not going to be easy. And that’s the reason you consult a wedding planner. Destination Wedding Planner in India will certainly make your wedding a lot easier and way more fun. If you expect your wedding planner to get you the moon and the stars in a limited budget, that’s practically not feasible. So let’s come straight to the point..!! In today’s blog we are going to give you guidelines about what to expect from your Wedding Planner.

1.    Invitations & Stationery – be the wedding invitations, or welcome cards, or wedding itinerary or good night / good morning notes or thank you note or wedding placards or key holder or stickers on the cars or any other stationery. Your wedding planner will take care of the printing of all the stationeries related to your wedding, once you finalize the design.

2.    Wedding Timeline – this is the most crucial part of the wedding. In order to have timely commencement & end of functions without getting super delayed, a wedding timeline is a must. Your wedding planner will make sure the vendors finish their work well in advance, the photographer, anchors and other artists (if any) arrive well in time. They will also make sure the bride and the groom get ready before time so that they don’t miss any part of the functions.

3.    Creating a Budget – well you don’t get married quite often, so having an idea about the wedding is little difficult especially when you are the first one in family to tie the knot. Do not worry!! Once you tell your requirements to the wedding planner, they will first draft an estimate budget depending on the venue, catering, designs and decorative elements you might like. That will further give you a clarification on which part to spend and which part you can cut down a little budget.

4.    Hospitality & Logistics – this becomes a backbone to a memorable wedding, when your guests are relaxed and completely at ease with the venue, food, conveyance and hospitality. When they don’t have to wait at the airport or railway station for pick-up, when their minor problems are sorted by the highly efficient hospitality team. Your Wedding Planner will just focus on making the stay of your guests as comfortable and stress free as possible.

5.    Vendor Coordination – it is the headache of your wedding planner to coordinate with all the vendors – tent, catering, sound & light, florist, artists, and others to make sure everything is on time and there are no unnecessary delays.

Hope we were able to calm down your anxious and brooding mind about what you must expect from your wedding planner.
