You have finally made a decision of tying the knot with the love of your life. The wedding dates are out. You have finalized the venue as well under the guidance and advice of appointed Destination Wedding Planner in India. The next challenge is to sort out the guest list. The ultimate guest list which comprises of people you would love to see at your wedding. Work and re- work, take some time and then work again, because the actual wedding planning and preparations depend on the number of guests you are inviting. Ohh wait…!! How have you planned to invite them? With the traditional Indian wedding cards in white, cream and golden with a picture of Lord Ganesha…!! Not that the traditional wedding cards aren’t charming. They certainly are beautiful. However, the time has changed. When you want all the ceremonies to be special then why not the wedding invites!!

We have been researching on contemporary wedding invitation card designs. And the ideas and designs we got are amazing. Actually calling them amazing would be an understatement. The designs are playful, creative, chic, stylish and just out of the box. So get ready to have a look at the inspiration and ideas that are modern and would be just right for the upcoming wedding in your family.

1.    The Match Box Design – when you have found your “Perfect Match”, what better way of telling your guests about it. Wedding invite in the form of match box is just an apt idea for the love birds.

 2.    Newspaper – well your wedding is nothing less than a news. How about telling your guests the entire story about how the soul mates met and how they fell in love and ultimately how the spark evolved and decision of getting married was made. Printing the entire story in the form of a newspaper will be creative and challenging as well. And the best part is you get to choose what secrets to be revealed and what to be kept secure.

3.    A Basket Full of Love – well if traditional wedding cards are etched in your heart and you want to use it anyway. We have this awesome idea to pair up your traditional wedding invitations with a basket full of sweets (chocolates or Indian sweets) and dry fruits. You can pack them up in beautiful jars and send the basket to the guests you have finalized to invite at your wedding.

4.    Caricature – for all the playful and fun couple, it’s time to make your guests aware of this side of yours in a creative way. How about printing those moments or conversations in the form of a cartoon story!! What better than caricature invites. Let me tell you, you can incorporate this idea to your Sangeet ceremony as well, with caricature of bride and groom and the near and dear one’s.

These are just a few ideas we could share with you. The important point to be kept in mind when talking about wedding invitation is – hire a good designer. Tell them how you want your invitation to look like, what mood should it evoke. And you are all set to put your guests at awe with the imaginative invitations.
