Color Trends In Weddings

Gone are the times, when weddings were just related to hues of red. Now weddings have become more of status symbol and style statement. Wedding have become elaborate and lavish. Every minute aspect for example – the kind of linens to be used on tables and chairs is also taken into consideration. Now every bride and groom wants to personalize their special day as per their likes and give it a look that reflects a part of their persona. That’s the reason Destination Wedding Planner in India have created wedding color trends that are contemporary, elegant, royal and stylish. Let’s discuss the trends for each function.

1.    Mehendi – this is the most vibrant function of all in a wedding. This is the first function and does give a kick start to the lavish ceremonies. Mostly, this is a female oriented function and you know female gatherings are nothing less than a carnival. That’s exactly the current theme trend for Mehendi Ceremony. Colors that are bright and signify celebrations and fete with a bazaar set-up. Colors like yellow, orange, green and pink are integral part of Mehendi celebration. Drapes and canopy’s & linens of these bright colors make the ceremony more vivid. And to compliment the fabrics, flowers like Marigold (yellow and orange), and white Mogra’s are used. The photo booth, decorative elements, hangings, and buffet set-up are planned keeping in mind the color scheme. We are certain these lively colors are surely going to make Mehendi ceremony exciting and fun.

2.    Sangeet – this is the function when everybody from bride and groom’s family get together, bond well and thoroughly enjoy the celebrations. These days mostly Sangeet is clubbed with Cocktails and what better than giving it a western theme using English Colors. Combination of White and Purple color gives a tinge of sophistication to the ceremony. Decorating the venue with flowers like white Dahlia and purple Peony (one of our favorite combinations) will certainly add glamour to the ceremony. To compliment the color scheme, using crystal décor (chandelier and hangings), candles in glass containers (fish bowls, or mason jars) will look stylish. And there you go..!!! You are now all set to shake leg on Bollywood Numbers and dance till you literally drop.

3.    Wedding – here comes the most important ceremony for which you had started preparing and planning months in advance. And tying the sacred knot in a royal ambience is a dream and that’s the reason wedding planner suggest Regal theme for your BIG DAY. A Royal Rajwada theme is an imperial Rajasthani Theme that takes you to the bygone Rajputana era. Colors like red and maroon are majorly used with Indian flowers that compliment the overall theme. The bride arrives in a Palaki and Groom on Ghodi. The baraat is welcomed with band and lawazma. And the ceremony is incomplete without the fireworks.  The theme is loud and festive and the Rajasthani delicacies leave no stone unturned to make the wedding lavish and memorable for the guests.

What To Expect From Your Wedding Planner!!

Wedding is the most sacred knot one could ever tie. But this is also a fact that this knot requires a lot of commitment not only towards each other but with the overall planning of the BIG DAY. Yes, we are talking about planning and executing the 2-3 day grand Indian Wedding. And it is going to freak you out at times, going to be stressful; it would require you to be on your toes almost all the times. And it is not going to be easy. And that’s the reason you consult a wedding planner. Destination Wedding Planner in India will certainly make your wedding a lot easier and way more fun. If you expect your wedding planner to get you the moon and the stars in a limited budget, that’s practically not feasible. So let’s come straight to the point..!! In today’s blog we are going to give you guidelines about what to expect from your Wedding Planner.

1.    Invitations & Stationery – be the wedding invitations, or welcome cards, or wedding itinerary or good night / good morning notes or thank you note or wedding placards or key holder or stickers on the cars or any other stationery. Your wedding planner will take care of the printing of all the stationeries related to your wedding, once you finalize the design.

2.    Wedding Timeline – this is the most crucial part of the wedding. In order to have timely commencement & end of functions without getting super delayed, a wedding timeline is a must. Your wedding planner will make sure the vendors finish their work well in advance, the photographer, anchors and other artists (if any) arrive well in time. They will also make sure the bride and the groom get ready before time so that they don’t miss any part of the functions.

3.    Creating a Budget – well you don’t get married quite often, so having an idea about the wedding is little difficult especially when you are the first one in family to tie the knot. Do not worry!! Once you tell your requirements to the wedding planner, they will first draft an estimate budget depending on the venue, catering, designs and decorative elements you might like. That will further give you a clarification on which part to spend and which part you can cut down a little budget.

4.    Hospitality & Logistics – this becomes a backbone to a memorable wedding, when your guests are relaxed and completely at ease with the venue, food, conveyance and hospitality. When they don’t have to wait at the airport or railway station for pick-up, when their minor problems are sorted by the highly efficient hospitality team. Your Wedding Planner will just focus on making the stay of your guests as comfortable and stress free as possible.

5.    Vendor Coordination – it is the headache of your wedding planner to coordinate with all the vendors – tent, catering, sound & light, florist, artists, and others to make sure everything is on time and there are no unnecessary delays.

Hope we were able to calm down your anxious and brooding mind about what you must expect from your wedding planner.

 2.    Newspaper – well your wedding is nothing less than a news. Gifts For Your Guests

Wedding dates are out. The pre-requisite to planning a wedding is to decide if you want a destination wedding. And then the guests you wish to invite. You consult destination wedding planner in India. And they suggest you the best destinations in the country and give you a tentative budget guideline for the specified number of guests. We are sure the guest list plays an important role in the wedding. These days’ weddings are intimate affairs and you would just want the dear one’s to be a part of your BIG DAY. Inviting few but close one’s will also keep a check on the budget. You work and re – work on the list and then after a long discussion with immediate family, you are all set with your guest list.

This is a fact your dear friends, cousins and other relatives take out time from their busy schedule and travel from different parts of the globe to give their presence in all the ceremonies and make the wedding memorable for you. It is indeed your responsibility to make their stay special and memorable. Pamper them with warm hospitality, sight-seeing plan of the city, delicious food and exciting gifts. Well, who doesn’t like gifts!!! We are sure each one of us does. In today’s blog we share a list of possible gifts and stationeries (notes) you could give your guests throughout the wedding. These gifts need not be expensive, but will certainly make a lasting impression on your guests.

They check-in to the hotel, make them feel at ease with a Welcome basket. As soon as they enter the room they see a hamper!!! Make sure it consists of – a welcome note, itinerary of the wedding (events, timings and venue), sight-seeing plan of the city, chips, dry fruits, sweets, mints, chocolates, and beverages to name a few.

Next gift is more of a thank you gesture in the form of notes. Send them Good – morning and Good – night notes. You can pair the notes with fresh flowers & fruits (for morning) and something to munch on (for nights).

You could also make each ceremony full of surprises by giving gifts to your guests. You can plan separate gifts for the ladies and the gentlemen or just have a standard set of gifts for everyone. Let’s start with Mehendi; since it is more of a female oriented function you can keep stalls for the ladies to pick up gifts of their choice. There are a number of stalls you could go for – bangles, parandi, leheria dupatta, nail art kit, gota rings, earrings, and anklets to name a few. For Sangeet you can go little classy with – aromatic candles, clutches, brooches, and show pieces that defines the city, and more. What better than to give a box full of sweets, along with a thank you note and a small idol of Lord Ganesh (symbolic to removal of obstacles) and a bag of sweet memories to give your guests as a wedding gift.

Hope you liked these budgeted gift ideas we shared above. Which ones would you keep for your wedding!!
