Wedding Color & Style

Colors play a very important part in any auspicious occasion in India. And Indian Weddings are incomplete without colors, especially today when weddings have become lavish and grand. Being the Bride or the Groom, you must have briefly thought about the colors you would like to choose for your wedding, colors that define your personality and also the chemistry between the couple. Maybe you two settle with two common colors that you wish to use throughout the wedding or decide to have different colors for different functions. Or maybe you are too confused to deal with the hues. That’s the reason Destination Wedding Planner in India looks for the best combination of colors for you. However, they have a few suggestions when it comes to choosing colors and styles for your BIG DAY.

1. Too Many Colors – weddings are colorful especially the vibrant Indian Weddings and we tend use as many colors as possible, which looks messy. The idea is to choose two to four colors which could be used throughout the wedding. How about choosing one main color and using other colors that complement the main color. Also narrowing down the color palette will also help keeping other elements like center pieces, floral décor and linens from looking messy.

2. Invitation – giving and implementing the colors of weddings in your invitation is a fantastic idea. Invitations set the stage of your wedding so design them in a way that evokes the color palette of your wedding from the start. It is advised to strictly avoid light fonts. Using dark, bold fonts will make the invites more appealing and readable.

3. Do Not Always Color Match The Flowers – don’t force the flowers to color match the overall color palette. Instead of asking your florist to use flowers, bouquets or centerpieces to match the color scheme, ask them to choose neutral flowers that can complement any color scheme. The trick is to use bright colored flowers if you use neutral or light colors in the wedding or if you use bright and dark shades it is suggested to use neutral colored flowers.

4. The Trend or Fad – it is easier to get carried with the wedding themes and colors and decorations you come across in magazines or on web. The colors look good for that particular setting. However, you cannot be sure if the colors are going to look good in the venue you choose. The color palette you choose must be the one you won’t mind living rest of your lives with, as you are going to frame the memories from your wedding on the walls. Hot, trendy colors might look good for the time, but may actually seem to be boring in real. Think of your favorite room or even sweater color for that matter, even the shades and patterns you usually surround yourself with can give you a lot of inspiration. We have witnessed some of the magnificent weddings inspired by tints and patterns of scarves or even pillow.

We would like to hear your inspiration for wedding color and styles.
